These units all have semi-hermetic Carlyle compressors in them. ![]() Carlyle Compressor S Serial From BothWhile on-site doing a PM, I diagnosed one compressor with all three legs shorted to ground, so I got the model and serial from both the RTU itself and also from the compressor for ordering parts. However, on another unit, I found signs of refrigerant leakage and noisy compressor operation. ![]() However, upon speaking with a more experienced technician, he said, Order New Compressor. Unfortunately, I was no longer on site and nowhere near to get any information off the compressor. Ive got the model and serial of the RTU though, is this good enough The specific Carrier guy I talked to last night is a bit of a dildo, so he was sincerely unhelpful. Caps, contactor. Parts guy from DCNE here in Portland very helpful and I dont buy a lot of Carrier stuff. I have never had an issue getting something for someone who gave me too many. Ive got four quotes to do and am screwed at this point because I dont know what to order. They send a spare gasket set with them if you order them from Carrier so you can make the new one match up with the old one If you do go back I would suggest getting them from Carrier, there are a lot of compressor rebuild shops, some good some miserable. Its at work. Ill look then. Yes you have to use the old unloaders and there are different types unless you get the whole shebang. Isnt there a factory authorized Carrier rep on the west side somewhere.
